The Mission of Biblical Studies is:

To hone theologically competitive ministry leaders who are surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and whose personal lives are imprinted by excellence, spiritual maturity and upright moral compass, and whose faithful witness will drive the work of the Gospel to all the nations

Biblical Studies’ Mission Statement:

Biblical Studies is devoted to driving spiritual changes based on the Bible and magnification of the truth about God through excellence in educating young leaders, who will serve the people, all for the glory of God.

We are a Christian institution of graduate education backed by the traditions of Protestant Evangelical beliefs. We believe and affirm the historic work of the Lord’s Apostles to share the Gospel to the world. We have confidence in our familial relationship as sons and daughters of God, together with everyone who comes to seek and found the Lord Jesus Christ.

We firmly uphold and declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the spiritual and final authority of Scripture as God’s spoken and written Word. Our belief that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone is rooted in our personal faith in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are convinced that a transformed life is the faithful work of the Holy Spirit who was promised to us by Jesus Christ.

We aim to serve the world despite its diverse cultures and traditions. Our hearts are geared towards helping those in spiritual poverty, those vulnerable and oppressed.

As a reflection of our theological identity within the whole Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, we firmly state our thrusts of faith here.

Statement of Faith

We believe in:

The one, living God who is eternally existing in three (3) persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is at work yesterday, today and eternally. He alone created the world and can redeem the world we live in.

The immaculate conception and birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He came to this world to proclaim the Kingdom of God and trample over sin and death. He lived a perfect, sinless life in obedience and surrender to the Father. Jesus Christ died on the Cross as the complete payment for man’s sin. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ paved the way for us to be saved from sin and its eternal death penalty. Jesus Christ reconciled the world to God. He is Lord and Savior who continues to intercede for us up to this day.

The Bible as the Holy Word of God. Both the Old and New Testaments, it is the written final authority of God’s Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, breathed with life. It is infallible in all its teachings.

The Creation of God, that we human beings are created by and for God alone. Both male and female are made for relationship with God and His people. We are called to be managers of God’s creation. Our sinful rebellion has resulted in God’s wrath and justice, which brought sin, shame, and misery upon humankind.

The saving work of Jesus Christ, that whoever repents of their sins and trust Him as Lord and Savior, will be reconciled to God. God’s grace springs new life through the Holy Spirit which empowers us for transformation.

The Church as the Body and Bride of Jesus Christ. We are the people of God who are designed to fellowship with Him with other believers.

The second coming of Jesus Christ as an appointed day by God. He will come again to judge both the living and the dead. He will establish God’s Kingdom here on earth.
