		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for that: I hadn&#039;t seen the original post back in July and this constitutes a refreshingly-readable summary of what seems, otherwise, a rather convoluted process. My favourite example of scroll identification was that which was conducted by a carpenter from Disneyland. He recognised the fact that the grain in two different pieces of parchment was running parallel, and deduced that they both belonged to the same text. Thanks to him, we are now in possession of a Greek Qumran copy of Enoch! (However fragmentary, of course...)]]></description>
